Terms of service

Last updated: July 2026

1. Purpose of the service

MarineTask is a platform connecting boaters who need nautical work or services carried out with professionals operating in marinas.

MarineTask is not a party to any contract concluded between boaters and professionals. Prices shown on the platform are indicative; the service itself, its invoicing, and its payment are arranged directly between the parties, outside the platform.

2. Accounts and user obligations

The boater agrees to honestly describe their need and their boat, and to respond to offers received (acceptance or refusal) within a reasonable time.

The professional agrees to only offer services for trades they genuinely practice, with the qualifications and insurance required by their profession, and to honor the offers they make.

Each user is responsible for the confidentiality of their credentials and the accuracy of their account information.

3. Introduction and contact details

When a boater accepts a professional's offer, the contact details (phone number and email address) of both parties are shared with each other. They are never disclosed before this acceptance.

4. Content, moderation and reporting

The requests, offers, and profiles published on the platform are content provided by users. The following are prohibited: illegal, misleading, or fraudulent content, service offers that do not comply with applicable regulations, and any content infringing on third-party rights.

In accordance with the European Digital Services Act (DSA), any user or visitor may report content they believe to be unlawful via the "Report content" link in the footer. Each report is reviewed by our team as soon as possible; the content may be removed and the account concerned suspended or deleted.

The author of removed content is notified and may dispute the decision by writing to bonjour@marinetask.com.

5. Suspension and termination

MarineTask may suspend or delete an account in the event of a breach of these terms, in particular in the case of repeated unlawful content, identity theft, or fraudulent behavior.

Each user may request the deletion of their account at any time by writing to bonjour@marinetask.com.

6. Liability

MarineTask connects users but does not guarantee the quality, compliance, or proper execution of services performed by professionals. Any disputes relating to a service are settled directly between the boater and the professional.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable resolution, the French courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
